grEGORy simpson was, most recently, the co-founder and Vice President of Product Design for Muse Research, where he conceived and designed Receptor, a hardware synthesizer and effects device. This instrument, used by many professional musicians, including Paul McCartney, The Rolling Stones, U2, Nine Inch Nails, Garbage, and many others, has been favorably reviewed in nearly every trade publication, including Future Music and Sound on Sound.
He also worked on the design and user interface for many successful music and media products, including Studio Vision, Overture, fusion:FX, and The HARP/Aura media device for BEOS. Additionally, he has written owner's manuals for dozens of media products and provided testing and development support for those products. He's a sound designer, composer, and photographer with an electrical engineering degree and a love of media.
