All too often, in a rush to get a product to market, companies will treat product testing as an afterthought —something they do "if they have time" or, worse, as an onus they place on their most loyal, paying customers.
Product testing is not an endeavor you leave to your engineers because, in general, they will test only those areas of code they believe might be at the most risk. Nor is product testing something you leave to your marketing and support staffs—their use of the product might cover only a small fraction of its actual functionality.
Rather, product testing (like product documentation) needs to coexist with product development and, as such, must be integrated into the project at the earliest stages.
Why ULTRAsomething?
ULTRAsomething founder, grEGORy simpson has designed numerous test plans for the products he's created, and has managed test departments for other, larger companies. He understands the hierarchical nature of testing and its need for structure and thoroughness. He also understands that no company wants to release untested products—they just need a little help in preventing it.
