ULTRAsomething, headquartered in beautiful downtown Vancouver Canada, is a multimedia content and creation company owned by composer, sound designer and photographer, grEGORy simpson.
Mr. Simpson’s photographic explorations commenced some 20 years ago, during the age of film, chemicals and the darkroom. Dissatisfied with some of his darkroom prints, Mr. Simpson began to experiment with digital imaging long before the commercial availability of digital cameras — scanning film and manipulating images with a (then) little-known program called Photoshop v1.5. Recently, dissatisfied with the look of some of his digital captures, a dithering Mr. Simpson began to replace many of his modern digital cameras with old-school film cameras — hand-developing and scanning negatives into a (now) well-known program called Photoshop CS-whatever.
In spite of never being personally satisfied, Mr. Simpson still manages to satisfy his clients with his keen eye, technical savvy and impeccable professionalism.
