Bonus Content 2012

Whenever I write articles, I select a subset of photos from a larger pool of final candidates. So what happens to the rejected photos? Sometimes, if I’m lucky, I get to repurpose them into another article, but usually they simply retire to a life of obscurity — buried on a hard drive or in a negative sleeve, never to be seen again. The purpose of this page is to “free” the rejects — to make them available to ULTRAsomething’s worldwide fan base (who would have imagined?), and to give you a little something extra to look at during those interminable gaps between new articles.

Rodinal Jones: Bonus Content

Below are a half-dozen extra shots from Vancouver’s annual 420 pot protest, which I photographed for the Rodinal Jones article. These are all Tri-X @ ISO 400, developed in Rodinal and shot with either a Leica M2 or M6 TTL. I used a combination of lenses for this shoot: Voigtlander 15mm; Leica 35mm v4 f/2 Summicron; and Leica 28mm f/2 Ssummicron.
